About event

September 3, 2025 at L’Olympia in Montreal was the kind of night that reminds you why live music matters. From TNR, we covered Caifanes; one of the most iconic and legendary bands in Latin rock history, and what we witnessed was a world-class performance that proved why this band remains so vital, decades after they first formed.

Juan Andrés Caballero, Sabo Romo, Alfonso André, and Alejandro Marcovich arrived on stage with the certainty of musicians who know exactly what they carry. The show opened with “Detrás de ti” and from that first chord the Olympia was transformed. “Hasta morir,” “Debajo de tu piel,” “Miedo,” “Inés”; each track was met with an audience connection that was immediate, visceral, and completely genuine.

The most intense moments came with “Afuera,” “Aquí no es así,” and “Pachuco,” which unleashed a collective emotional eruption that is simply impossible to put into words. The closing with “La negra Tomasa” turned into a flat-out party that broke every barrier. From TNR, we’re left with the certainty that Caifanes remain an unstoppable force in Spanish-language rock — and that Montreal had the privilege of hosting one of their finest nights in a very long time.
