Alpha

Alpha, released on 18 September 2026, is the first new music in three years from Sheffield alternative grunge quintet Dead Blonde Stars and the lead single from Devolution, their third official album, due on 30 October 2026. It clocks in at just over three minutes, takes no prisoners, and pairs an uncompromising twin guitar arrangement with a crushing rhythm section. The band’s secret weapon is singer Gary Walker, whose voice soars in the way Chris Cornell or Ian Thornley of Big Wreck used to. It is not all dark heavy riffs, but it is not for the faint hearted either. Discovered via Brian Heason (HBM Promotions / Music Plugger).
