Beau James

Beau James is the music project of Bay Area artist, author and educator Beau Thomas, based in Morgan Hill, California. Working across visual art, public art, photography, writing and music, Thomas writes songs that grow directly out of his creative life. The music moves between electronic, synth-driven, indie and conceptual songwriting, with projects about artistic ambition, the working life of an artist and art history. Thomas holds a BA in Visual and Public Art from CSU Monterey Bay and an MFA from Mills College, and his wider practice includes exhibitions, residencies, community-centered projects and municipal public art.
