Great Tide

Great Tide is a hard-working Norwegian americana/blues/rock band from Kristiansand, delivering a timeless 70s-inspired sound with a modern twist. Rich vocal harmonies, exceptional guitar work and heartfelt lyrics for fans of Tom Petty, Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. Members: Jonas Anker Paulsen (vocals/bass), Odin Landbakk (vocals/guitar), Andreas Utne Friestad (guitar), Vemund Strypet (drums). The members came together out of pandemic-era band Vbakfeber (album "I Feel Fine"), regrouping as Great Tide and releasing the acclaimed debut LP Daywatcher (2024) — earning two 6/6 reviews plus a 5/6 in the Norwegian press. Winners of the Uhøyrt final in Bryne, with three full Norwegian national tours under their belt. Three TNR-pitched singles so far: Passing Fancy (March 2025), Caravan (September 2025) and Wake Me Up (February 2026).
