Ian Blurton’s Future Now

Ian Blurton's Future Now is the Toronto hard rock band led by guitarist and singer Ian Blurton, a fixture of the Canadian indie scene since the early 1980s. Blurton fronted Change of Heart, then Blurtonia and C'mon, and has produced records for The Lowest of the Low, Tricky Woo, Rheostatics and The Weakerthans, among others. Future Now arrived with the 2022 album Second Skin, followed by Crimes of the City in 2024 and the ten track Imperial Filth, released on 23 October 2026. The band plays hard rock with a touch of stoner, with a power pop streak inherited from Cheap Trick, Big Star and The Raspberries.
