Jaotar

Birmingham power trio Jaotar break down the boundaries of genre with a home-made fusion of rock and funk, held together by a super-sticky psychedelic glue. Born out of the heart of the Midlands, their sound is immersive, rhythmically charged, and guided by instinct. Willie Mac brings the initial sparks, Meaks builds the heat using groove for fuel, and Stankleg adds what the band call musical lighter fluid to the fire. Prioritising movement, dynamics, and sonic depth over rigid structures, Jaotar chase a sound that feels fluid, expressive, and rooted in the physical energy of the room. After roughly a year of gigging across the Midlands with no music online, the band released their debut single Mr He on 12 August 2026.
