Measure For Measure

Measure For Measure is a gothic, symphonic and progressive rock band from Colchester, England. It is led by singer and lead songwriter Heidi Crowell, a Literature graduate of the University of Essex who first drew attention with piano rock covers on YouTube. The band formed in December 2024 with her partner Wayne Thompson, owner of Colchester's Unit One Studios, who plays drums and co-writes. The name nods to one of Shakespeare's darker comedies, and the songs retell stories and literary tropes in heavy melodic rock. Murder In The Streets, released in September 2026, is their debut single.
