Suede Aces
Suede Aces is a five-piece retro 70s hard rock and blues band from New Jersey, USA. Originally formed in 2021 with a couple of recent new member additions in late 2025 and 2026. Fronted by vocal powerhouse Lily Slix, the band fuses gritty soul, intricate musicianship, and raw emotion into a sound that hits as hard as it moves. Drawing from the classic power of Led Zeppelin and the vocal soul of Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin, the band crafts music that is both timeless and forward-thinking. Lily Slix has been recording in studios since age nine and performing live since thirteen, following in her musician father's footsteps. Brothers Darrin Bell (guitar) and Tommy Bell (drums) grew up playing together from the moment their father handed them their first instruments, translating that lifelong musical bond into seamless onstage chemistry. Gareth 'Gort' Odendaal joined on bass in late 2025; in January 2026 he played his second show ever at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park. Jerry Reaves joined as rhythm guitarist in 2026, bringing decades of classic rock experience that further strengthens the band's layered sound. The band has shared stages with the likes of Steven Adler of Guns N' Roses and Slaughter at the iconic Starland Ballroom, and Rachel Bolan of Skid Row at The Stone Pony. Rather than chasing a singles strategy, Suede Aces chose to debut with a full 51 minute album, of which 'Fool' is the opening track.
