Showstopper

Showstopper is the third single from the debut album by Kathleen Halloran, the Melbourne guitarist, singer and songwriter, released on 22 April 2026. Plugger Brian Heason calls it a moody blues rocker with a killer chorus, and flags Halloran simply as a shredder.

Track nine on the album, Showstopper showcases the blues-drenched guitar work Halloran honed as a sidewoman to some of Australia’s biggest names, from Jon Stevens and Kate Ceberano to Ash Grunwald. Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton has called her one of those rare finds, a true modern-day artist stepping into her own spotlight.
