The Phantom Buzz is the new single from Newcastle trio Ten Eighty Trees, arriving about six weeks after their last single Always On. The song explores anxiety, anticipation and a dependence on digital validation, following someone trapped in a cycle of compulsively checking their phone, convinced they felt a notification that never came.

The phantom sensation becomes a metaphor for loneliness and the desperate hope that someone cares. Shifting through 5/4 rhythms, hard-rock riffs and a post-punk groove, the music drives the tension and mirrors the growing obsession and discomfort.
